Local Skateshop Day 本地滑板店日

 

由号召Go Skateboarding Day国际滑板日的International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC)国际滑板商联盟组织提议的另一个关于滑板的节日近日已经通过该组织和Board Retailers Association (BRA) 板类零售商协会的认可，IASC组织宣布每年十月的第二个周末定为Local Skateshop Day 本地滑板店日，倡议在这一天为当地滑板运动作出贡献的滑板店铺庆祝，而具体的活动则由本地的滑板店自行组织，可以举办比赛或滑板活动，并且IASC组织会在官网上进行宣传支持，为当地的核心滑板店作为肯定，目前已有37家美国境内的滑板店和众多滑手们响应号召参与了Local Skateshop Day 本地滑板店日的组织和宣传，Heroskate也倡议滑手们支持你的当地滑板店！

 

The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) is the not-for-profit trade association of skateboarding whose mission is to represent the global skateboarding community as a united force by listening, understanding and acting on the needs of skateboarders and the skateboard industry. Formed in 1995, this diverse group of skateboard manufacturers, distributors, contest organizers, private skateparks, and individuals are passionate about skateboarding with the single aim of protecting the integrity of skateboarding and pushing skateboarding forward on a global level.

 

After years of growing Go Skateboarding Day (GSD), the IASC conceived the idea of ‘Local Skateshop Day’ in 2009 to recognize core retailers as the true spirit of skateboarding. While GSD is a day to get out and skate, LSD is a day to pay a visit to the retailers who keep skateboarding rolling in towns around the world. Local Skateshop Day takes place annually on the 2nd Weekend of October.
