ESPN and Rockstar Energy Drink Present the First X Games in Mexico City

The first-ever international X Games in Mexico City took place Sept. 7-9, 2007 at the Palacio de los Deportes, announced by Rick Alessandri, senior vice president, general manager, ESPN Consumer Products and X Games Franchise Managing Director. Along with presenting sponsor Rockstar Energy Drink, the competition included the world's top athletes competing in the disciplines of BMX Freestyle, Skateboard Street, Skateboard Vert and Moto X. X Games Mexico will be co-organized by OCESA, the largest entertainment company in Latin America.

Other event sponsors include Ford Motor Vehicles, Oakley and Vans.

ESPN will produce 5 hours of original programming which will air on ESPN Dos in Mexico and on ESPN International across the pan-regional Latin America network. A 1-hour highlight show will be produced for broadcast on all other ESPN Networks across the globe.
