8FIVE2 香港滑板店重装修开业

在等待了几个礼拜时间的装修之后，来自香港的8Five2店铺近日正式对外重新营业。对很多亚洲地区的朋友（那些同时喜欢skate以及streetwear文化）来说，8Five2 Shop自始自终扮演着重要角色。除了在早期前瞻性的引进了很多核心skate&streetwear品牌之外，店主Julius Brian Siswojo本人广泛的人脉关系网也让他成为大家眼里不可忽视的一个人物。在这里我们要恭喜8Five2 Shop的第一个12年

回到1999年，那时候我刚刚开始创建8FIVE2SHOP（店铺）/Distribution（分销商）的生意，在当时店铺就位于我家里，在一个600多平米的大小的住所内，在那里我和我的父母，两个姐妹，一个兄弟住在一起。直到2001年，我们终于有能力在全香港最繁华的地段铜锣湾选址开店。很多曾经以及现在的同行们应该都知道滑板生意不好做，但对于我来说让我坚持到最后的其实是因为喜欢滑板。

8Five2经历里很多美好时光，但同时也经历了很多困难时期，2001年美国的的911世贸大楼撞机事；之后当滑板产业突然变成香饽饽的时候，又面临来自大财团支持的连锁店铺的竞争压力；2003年的SARS病毒事件；以及2009年的全球经济危机等等一系列其它困难。但是我们还是坚持到了现在2011年，整整12年之后，8Five2依然屹立不倒，我们会继续加油，努力在香港推广和传播滑板文化。

12年之后，8Five2终于重新对店铺进行了装修，我们希望给支持我们的朋友们带来一个全新的8Five2,为此我们也歇业了数周。我们真诚的感谢我们的员工，没有他们的付出就不会有店铺每日的正常运转，感谢所有的顾客，我们的好朋友，感谢你们一路来的支持和帮助。

I started 8FIVE2SHOP/Distribution back in 1999 out of my 600 sq ft apartment while I was still living with my family (parents, 2 sisters and a brother). In 2001, we were finally able to make the move to a proper shop location in Causeway Bay, the busiest area in Hong Kong.

Many of you who’ve tried to do a skateboard business all know that it’s not easy making big money or sometimes even breaking even with this kind of business but, at the end of the day, it’s my love for skateboarding that keeps me doing what I’m doing.

8FIVE2SHOP has been through good times and especially our share of hard times during these past years;Sept 11 World Trade Bombing Incident in 2001, Competing with the big chains as soon as skateboarding was suddenly trendy?, SARs in 2003, Economic crash in 2009, and so many other obstacles we’ve faced but, forward to 2011, 12 years later, 8FIVE2SHOP is still standing and we’re still here and will keep on doing so in order to promote and spread the skateboarding culture here in Hong Kong.

After 12 years, we finally renovated 8FIVE2SHOP and closed it down for a few weeks for the first time ever to bring all our supporters a fresh newly renovated shop.

We want to sincerely thank all the staff that put their blood, sweat, and tears in order to run 8FIVE2SHOP everyday, all the support from the customers, family and friends. We deeply thank you for all your support and love!
